"Auroral Disturbance Artefacts as Evidence of Alternate Tasmanias" aka Neverwas Tasmania

Research report Title: "Auroral Disturbance Artefacts as Evidence of Alternate Tasmania" Prof. H. Mousehammer Dept. Of Other Realities Abstract: The recent Auroral Disturbance has torn a small hole in the fabric of space-time, and some artefacts and ephemera have dropped through. We have examined the materials attempting to build a picture of this parallel existence. There is evidence of "steampunk" life, engineered turtles and the Bat-winged Fire Wolf (aka the Pyrocine) believed to be endemic in the volcanic highland in spite of early hunting to extract a hydrogen catalyst for the Airship industry. The posters recovered from the artefact dump hint at a state spanning transport network linking the paternalistic colonial Duchy of Far South Hobartia to the Peoples Collective Of Northern Lutruwita, across to the Unconformist's League in the West. along the ponrabbel/kanamaluka river system and even the tiny, remnant French outpost of Ville de Baudin (aka Stanley). The network would appear to have conquered the difficult terrain such as the volcanic higlands by the use of aerial vehicles, mostly airships. A chain of gothic lighthouses is assumed to exist to guide the airship traffic through the hazy volcanic highlands. It is a surprising that such diverse political cultures could work together to achieve this outcome, all parties offering operational surety to the stern control of Air Marshall Lachlan Macquarie. A space program of sorts is also indicated, "Philosopher" Smith took a dia-magnetical craft to the Moon and, curiously, there are Teapots in Orbit ! Items of elaborately decorated clothing were also recovered, whether this was everyday wear or only for cermonial occasions can only be speculated about. In conclusion then: It's Tasmania, but not as we know it, it's a Tasmania that "never was" ! Full Report library number: ZZ9ZZα
